Men Are Showing Up for Mental Health—and It’s Changing the Conversation in St. Charles

Whiskey, Wings & Real Talk returns July 8 with honest dialogue on masculinity, identity, and connection.

What started as a casual, no-pressure gathering over wings and whiskey has quickly grown into something bigger: a movement. After a powerful launch this past May, Whiskey, Wings & Real Talk returns to The Lewis in St. Charles on Tuesday, July 8, offering men a space to drop the performance and talk real life.

Designed to be free of stigma and full of heart, this bi-monthly series brings together mental health professionals, community advocates, and everyday men who are ready to talk honestly about what it means to be well.

This month’s conversation centers around a timely—and deeply personal—topic: Masculinity in 2025.

Leading the discussion is Jeremy Tovmassian, LMFT, a licensed therapist and former pastor from Evergreen Counseling in Wheaton, who believes redefining masculinity isn’t about losing strength—it’s about finding new ways to be strong.

“Most men grow up internalizing outdated, hand-me-down ideas of masculinity—rarely stopping to question where they came from,” Tovmassian says. “But when we do, we open the door to connection, growth, and healing.”

Known for his compassionate, down-to-earth style, Jeremy blends clinical insight with lived experience, helping men navigate everything from burnout to identity shifts with humor, humility, and grace.
