Finding the right mental health support can be overwhelming—especially when you’re already carrying the weight of big life transitions, family responsibilities, or the quiet struggles no one sees. At MDW, we know that connection matters. That’s why, after 12 years of listening, building, and carefully curating, we’re introducing something we’ve been dreaming about for a long time:
The MDW Mental Health Advisory Board
This diverse, accomplished group of licensed mental health professionals is here to guide our mission with expertise, compassion, and courage. They’re not just advisors—they’re volunteers, offering their time, skills, and stories because they believe in the power of community care.
When women reach out for support, we don’t just hand over a list of phone numbers. We listen. We review each request and connect them with the professional who’s the best fit for their needs—help that is personal, intentional, and rooted in trust.

About MDW
The Modern Domestic Woman is a trust-first women’s platform at the intersection of lifestyle, advocacy, and mental wellness. What began as a grassroots community has grown into two distinct yet connected branches—the MDW Lifestyle Brand and MDW Cares—working together to support women through major life transitions with honesty, compassion, and actionable resources.
The MDW Lifestyle Brand is an editorial and event-driven arm, delivering high-quality content, curated resources, and community-centered experiences. Through articles, guides, workshops, and partnerships, we spotlight women-owned businesses, amplify diverse voices, and explore real-life topics—from mental health and relationships to home design, fashion, beauty, and personal growth.
MDW Cares (our sister nonprofit (pending)) is dedicated to direct, community-centered care for women of all ages and backgrounds. Guided by three pillars—Mental Health, Lifestyle, and Advocacy—MDW Cares provides workshops, resource sharing, and mutual aid to meet women where they are. We believe in creating safe spaces both in the home and within oneself, supporting women in crisis, and actively partnering with organizations that advance women’s rights, recovery, and well-being.
At the heart of both branches is a shared ethos: compassion, empowerment, and inclusivity.
We approach every initiative with empathy, celebrate diversity, and believe in the inherent strength of every woman. Whether through storytelling, advocacy, or hands-on support, MDW exists to remind women they are not alone—and to create a culture of solidarity, resilience, and connection.
